David Toop

David Toop is a composer, musician, author and curator based in London. Working across multiple fields of sound art and music since the late 1960s, Toop has collaborated with international experimentalists like John Zorn, Derek Bailey, Akio Suzuki, Thurston Moore and Ryuichi Sakamoto. With a focus on creating improvised music, Toop transcends conventional boundaries, intertwining ethereal melodies with intricate sonic explorations. 

For Volume, David Toop will perform at the Lawrence English (Room40) co-curated North and South program on Wednesday 4 October.
