Hilary Geddes is a guitarist and composer based in Sydney on Gadigal Country. She is the 2021 Freedman Jazz Fellow and bandleader of the Hilary Geddes Quartet as well as the lead guitarist for indie band The Buoys. In solo mode, Geddes uses a range of extended guitar techniques, non-traditional gestures and performance approaches to create new and experimental tones and sonics.
