Philip Samartzis is sound artist, curator and researcher whose work investigates the social and environmental conditions informing remote wilderness regions and their communities. He uses field recordings and advanced audio technologies within his teaching, exhibitions and publications to demonstrate the transformative effects of climate change within a contemporary art context. 

For Volume, Philip Samartzis will perform at the Lawrence English (Room40) co-curated North and South program on Wednesday 4 October.
